Washington Waldorf School Reviews

I totally disagree with the perception conveyed by the comments on bullying at this school. The school does not condone this activity and any bullying event is more likely the lack of attention by a particular teacher. My child endured a bully but the teacher took positive and swift action to resolve the situation. Overall, considering the pros and cons of the WWS, I believe the pros far outweigh the cons.

I strongly agree that bullying is a big weakness of this school. They can't handle it properly and the bully child keeps bullying knowing that there are no consequences to his or her behavior.

I found this school after my son attended a Montessori for 2 years. Unlike what the first poster said, this school does not support bullying, nor does it teach a child to 'run away' from a bully. It teaches a child to stand up for himse.f/herself. My child is thriving heree.

Despite all the beauty and love of this school, it cannot handle bullying even at the kindergarten level. It is a socially tough school and unless the school turns things around, I cannot recommend it. Either you learn to be a bully and run away from one. In today's world, a child needs more guidance and some rules to follow with consequences!

We were really let down by this school. At first we were intoxicated by this colorful approach to education. The art and music were truly beautiful. However the school had no idea how to handle bullying. As much as they say that they educate the whole child they really dropped the ball with our child. There was no leadership, no boundaries set and we felt our child was unsafe. In addition to that his educational needs(dyslexia) were not being met.Needless to say we left. We thought this school held the promise for greatness in education...it does not.
