St. Rita School Reviews

Saint Rita is a Great school! However, in my opinion the children have too many days off during the school year-- two weeks for Christmas and two weeks for Easter. They are also out of school a half of days once a month, now a days it seems like twice a month. The school does not cater to working parents! I have had to complain about unfair teachers I also think that room parents should not be placed with their child that is an unfair placement. They do have an after care program, but if you expect to be greeted with a friendly Hello you are mistaken, all you get is who are you here to pick up! The principle knows the name of every student and most of the parents .

I think St. Rita School is a good school, but i think that it tends to allow too much parental influence in the day-to-day activities. This can be quite frustrating to the other parents and teachers alike. Because of all the parental participation, there tends o be a rift between the working parents and the nonworking parents. Most of the working parents are hard pressed to manage the many half days and very long xmas and spring break (2weeks each). The school tends to deal with a LOT of volunteer work that is mandatory. I dislike that fact that a large portion of school-raised fund tend to go to church functions like helping the immigrants in the neighborhood learn english, when the school could be using this money to build a cafeteria or updating the school itself. The principal is wonderful.

My child has been at saint rita since K, the school is wonderful, the princple is just wonderful. The school is small and tight knit.

This is an AMAZING school! As a current seventh grader at Saint Rita's, I can assure all prospective families that this is the school you want for both religious and academic education. It's a really small school compared to others in the area, but that is positive in my opinion. Sports is not a big central focus at St. Rita's--basketball is the only thing available. Special classes like music, art, and PE aren;t taken very seriously-- no A,B,C,D, or F's, just effort grades-- but they are well taught and favorites of the students. The computer lab is well equipped. The library is decently stocked, not so great for research (go to the computer lab) but wonderful for pleasure reading for all ages. Parents are well involved in the annual Silent Auction, Bazaars and other events as well as the everyday academics. St. Rita's gets two thumbs up!

St.Rita Catholic school is ,in my opinion, one of the best schools. It is very open to different races and different abilities. If I were to rate it I would give a Ten not just for the school but for the teachers and staff. This school has a very complex learning system and when I have kids this will be the school on my top 5 list.
